A world of resources to support the engagement, learning and enjoyment of Welsh for your child. All resources have been developed with the support and expertise of teachers and curriculum experts and mapped to the Curriculum for Wales.
The ‘Fflic a Fflac’ series consists of four comprehensive multimedia packs (of progressing difficulty), four sets of additional reading books, songs, games to facilitate playtime on a tablet or phone, and of course, two loveable puppets called ‘Fflic’ and ‘Fflac’! The puppets are based on the two characters featured in the books and videos and have different accents - Fflic is from North Wales and Fflac is from South Wales.
The Curriculum for Wales states that:
‘Fflic a Fflac’ therefore, aims to give learners increasing confidence to use Welsh as a means of communication on a daily basis. It provides opportunities for 3–7-year-olds to use Welsh across the six ‘Areas of Learning and Experience’ within the curriculum - Expressive Arts, Health and Well-Being, Humanities, Languages, Literacy and Communication, Mathematics and Numeracy, Science and Technology - and encourages the use of the Welsh language in day-to-day, cross-curricular activities.
